<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">The meeting was called to order by President Marguerite Woods,
at a special time, 7:45pm so that we would be able to listen to the
Presidential Release live. Marguerite asked everyone to introduce themselves, say
where they were in the state, and what they thought of the NFB pledge. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Sharon discussed our fundraiser. We will be hosting a night
at the movies and will watch part 1 of the Netflix series All the Light We
Cannot See. We will hear from Joe Stretchay, who is an accessibility consultant
for television and movies, who happens to be blind, and we will have a
discussion. We need money to pay for the Robocall each month, and to help
people go to state and national conventions. Marguerite encouraged everyone to
attend and bring some people with them. This is our activity for Blind Equality
and Achievement Month. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Marguerite reminded everyone that today is White Cane Awareness
Day. Charles and Judy recited the pledge, and Marguerite introduced the
membership theme of the chapter Presidential Release. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">The chapter Presidential Release was played. President
Riccobono explained that the national pledge that we recite began at the 1974
convention. He played an excerpt of Doctor Jernigan explaining the pledge to
the national convention. President Riccobono also explained the belief
statement and urged chapters to review it at each meeting. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">We listened to the Presidential Release live, which took
place in San Fransisco. The NFB had a rally in front of Uber and Lyft to
express our extreme dissatisfaction with the discrimination that these
rideshare companies exhibit. Blind persons, especially those with guide dogs,
do not get rides from the drivers, even though it is against the law. Various
people talked about the rally and about the media coverage it received. <span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">The meeting was adjourned at 9:30pm. <span></span></p>
