Hi, my name is jenny Holcomb. I recently moved to Towson and I’m looking forward to meeting chapter members tomorrow.

My niece is in fourth grade. She is working on some white cane inventions for elementary kids. If anyone has extra canes, they could bring to the party tomorrow and donate to her I would be happy to collect them. This is purely for the interest of a fourth graders school project for something called invention convention. They are asked to look for a problem in there every day lives and solve it. Thank you in advance.

Looking forward to meeting you.
Jenny

Dear TLC Chapter Members and Friends,

Happy New Year. I hope this email finds you all well.

We are continuing the tradition of holding our chapter holiday party in January. Our in-person “January Blues” party will take place on Saturday, January 17 starting at 2:00 PM. Please note that this gathering does not follow our previous chapter meeting schedule . Eileen Ley has graciously offered to host our get together and to coordinate the refreshments. We will squeeze in an abbreviated chapter meeting that afternoon as well, to make sure everyone has the latest information about the Day in Annapolis, Washington Seminar, and our upcoming State Convention. Please feel free to invite your significant other or a friend.

Eileen’s address is 804 Hatherleigh Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. Please let Eileen know that you are coming and how many folks will be in your party. Also, please reach out to her to discuss how you can contribute to the refreshments; she is planning a pasta bar. You can reach Eileen by phone or text at 443-253-5595. Please RSVP no later than January 14.

A draft of the December minutes is attached for your review. Please look over the minutes,so we can vote to approve them during the meeting.

If you haven’t paid your 2026 dues yet, you may do so in person with cash or by check at our holiday party. You may also make your dues payment via Zelle using tlcchapter at nfgmd.org<mailto:tlcchapter at nfgmd.org>. Alternatively, you can pay your dues using a credit or debit card on the affiliate’s website at nfbmd.org/dues. Please note that there is a slight surcharge with this payment method to offset Paypal charges.

In February our chapter will meet in person at the NFBMD state convention. Please consult the agenda, once it becomes available, for details.

Please note that we now have a new regular meeting date. Starting in March, the chapter will meet on the third Monday of the Month, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

I hope to see many of you at our holiday party on the 17th.

Warmly,

Ellen Ringlein, Secretary
National Federation of the Blind of Maryland TLC Chapter
