[MD-Baltimore-County] Legislative Alert: Urgent Meeting with Senator Nick Charles - 2PM March 20, 2026

[Maryland President]

                             We are asking those who are available,
particularly those from Prince George's County, Montgomery County, and guide
dog users to please call into this meeting with Senator Nick Charles at 2PM
on Friday, March 20, 2026.  Senator Charles has concerns about SB0909, our
Autonomous Vehicle bill, because he is concerned about rideshare drivers
losing their jobs.  We will share data related how cities/states with
autonomous vehicles have not experienced a reduction in human-operated
rideshare services as well as to share the impact of human-operated
rideshare denials due to disability on blind guide dog and cane users.
