Subject: JAWS tutors needed!

Be a Montgomery County Public Libraries Volunteer!

If you're an experienced JAWS user and you'd like to help others learn the basics, or resolve a pesky question for a puzzled JAWS user, please let us know. The ability to use JAWS is a key component in getting online, and in many cases in keeping employed, so we'd like to match volunteers with people who need help. If you're interested in either tutoring or in providing short reference "how to" info, please read on.

How: Become a Montgomery County volunteer (looks great on resumes and you get a reference letter); meet with Francie Gilman to get started, contact info below.

When: You will make the appointments with the student, at a mutually agreeable time.

Where: In a library branch or over the phone or even at a local Starbucks if you have a laptop or two. Depends on the needs and abilities of the student. You can set a limit to the number of sessions you're willing to give your student.

Next step: call or email Francie Gilman 240-777-0959 or francie.gilman at montgomerycountymd.gov <mailto:francei.gilman at montgomerycountymd.gov> with questions and to get started.

Thank you!

Francie
