Technology support services in higher education -- Saturday, February 26, Wheaton Library, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
This SATS presentation and panel discussion will provide answers to what role adaptive technology services provide for disability support services/academic support centers in colleges and universities. This session will be geared towards high school students, their parents, high school counselors and special education teachers and therapists. Saturday Adaptive Technology Sessions (SATS) are held on the fourth Saturday of the month, and are coordinated by the Disability Resource Center Library Advisory Committee.
Presenters will include Kamran Rasul, Assistive Technology Specialist at American University, Korey Singleton, ATI Manager Assistive Technology Initiative at George Mason University & Dan Newsome, Coordinator for Adaptive Technology Lab at Maryland University's McKeldin Library.
The session is free and open to the public. Come to meeting room #2, in the lower level of the Wheaton Library, at 11701 Georgia Ave. (at the corner of Arcola Ave.), Wheaton, MD 20902 (phone 240-777-0678).
