I don't know anything about this software, but my guess is that this is for someone for whom a screen reader is daunting, and I assume it is pretty limited.

This program is for you or for someone you know if this equation holds true: Using computers = Confusion + Frustration. Learn about Guide, an award-winning software package with built-in prompts, magnification and speech that uses menus and a few keystrokes to help you easily navigate e-mail, the Internet, and word processing. Other features include online radio, calendar, contacts, digital downloads and scanning. While Guide was developed for people who have low vision or who are blind, people who have learning disabilities may also find this product very useful. Deo Kawunde, of the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, leads this Saturday Adaptive Technology Session at the Wheaton Library on Saturday, June 25, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Address: 11701 Georgia Ave., Wheaton, MD 20902 <http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=11701+Georgia+Ave.,+Wheaton,+MD++20902+&sll=39.115844,-77.25292&sspn=0.007442,0.014591&ie=UTF8&ll=39.048036,-77.052011&spn=0.007449,0.014591&z=16&iwloc=addr&om=1> . Phone: 240-777-0678 or TTY: 301-929-5524. Public transportation:
Ride On Bus: #9 and #33
Metrobus: any Y bus except Y5
Metro: Red Line to the Wheaton stop. Walk 6 blocks north on Georgia Ave. The library is on the right at the corner of Arcola Ave. and Georgia. This is roughly a 10-15 minute walk.
