Dear All,

 

      A Senior Safety Summit will be held at the new White Oak
Recreation/Senior Center located at 1700 April Lane.  The three hour
event, hosted by Fire Chief Richie Bowers will run from 1 to 4PM.  It
will feature a number of county agencies providing tips to seniors on
falls prevention, fire safety, emergency preparedness,  avoiding tricks
and scams,  home security, using the 311 system etc.  Please take a look
at the attached flyer and pass on the information to all who may wish to
attend.  We are very exited and are looking forward to trying out this
event at the new White Oak Center.  Please pass on the word to all
seniors to attend the fun and educational event.  We will also be
haveing door prizes to give away.Hope to see you all there.  

 

The County Executive and council members have also been made aware of
the date and we are hoping that they can attend as well.  

 

 If anyone has any questions please send  them my way and I WILL TRY MY
BEST TO ANSWER THEM.
