[Md-sligo] Chapter meeting

The chapter meeting will be a picnic at Ben and Kimoy Kelly's house, 9308 Wyatt Drive, Lanham.  We will start at 2:00 and be finished by about 5:30.  Please let me know what you will bring.  Someone is bringing fruit salad, but anything else is open.

Thank you to all those who participated in the BELL program--Tom, Lloyd, Judy, Yasmin, Denna, Barbara, Metmku, and Nesma.  We also had a great deal of help from Sharon Maneki and from student volunteers Shawn Abraham, Rohit Jain, and Tiana Graham.  From the National harbor chapter, Joyce Brooks, Ava Ferebee and Harold Hays spent a lot of time at the program.  Dana Hinnant and Michelle Clark also paid us visits.  If I left anyone out, I'm sure someone will remind me.  We met some wonderful kids, and we hope this will be only the beginning of our relationship with them and their families.

Also thanks to Steptoe and Johnson and the national Harbor Chapter for some of the funding.

I will be bringing raffle tickets on Saturday to the meeting.  These sell for $1 or six for $5.  The prize is $300, $100 or $50 and will be drawn at the state convention in November.

Our scholarship dinner is on Saturday, October 5.  I will bring flyers on Saturday.  Please bring friends and auction items.
