Free Travel Training!
        Traveling around the Washington DC Metro area can feel overwhelming and difficult at times. Learning about independent and flexible travel options can make people feel safer and more confident.
Metro is focusing on the individual transportation needs of our senior adults and our customers with disabilities by providing FREE travel training sessions. Metro offers both individual, one-on-one travel training, and group orientation travel training options.
The travel training will provide participants with the tools and knowledge to independently and safely travel using Metro's accessible bus and rail systems.
Our professionally trained staff will come to the customer, and each session is customized to best meet the individual needs of the customers. During the sessions customers will also learn about other regional transportation options that are available to them.



Individuals who participate in travel training benefit in many ways:

*        A more independent lifestyle

*        Increased travel confidence

*        Improved employment options

*        Expanded social activities

*        Enjoy reduced fares on Metrobus and Metrorail
