You are receiving this email notice because you were identified as a key
contact person at your organization to share the following information
with other staff members and constituents that may be affected.

Metro will perform major track work over this weekend, June 21-23, 2013.
The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system
closing on Sunday.

 RED LINE MAJOR TRACK WORK
Free shuttle buses will replace Red Line trains between the Rhode Island
Ave and Forest Glen stations. Three stations will be closed: Brookland,
Takoma and Silver Spring. In addition, Fort Totten Station will be open
for Green and Yellow service only. Limited-stop buses will operate
between Forest Glen and Rhode Island stations, with a single
intermediate stop at Silver Spring. Passengers using limited-stop buses
should add up to 40 minutes to their travel time. Local buses will
operate between Forest Glen and Rhode Island Avenue, with intermediate
stops at Silver Spring, Takoma, Fort Totten and Brookland stations.
Passengers using local buses should add 10 minutes of travel time for
each station stop.

The last train from Glenmont will depart 53 minutes earlier than normal
- at 1:44 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and at 10:44 p.m. on Sunday
night. Last train times from Shady Grove will stay the same.

ORANGE LINE SINGLE TRACKING
Orange Due to a single-track work zone between Cheverly and New
Carrollton, every other Orange Line train will run between Vienna and
Cheverly only, rather than between Vienna and New Carrollton. As a
result, passengers traveling to or from Landover or New Carrollton
stations may experience travel times up to 15 minutes longer than
normal.
