May is Stroke Prevention Month. The Washington Adventist Hospital,
together with the American Heart Association are putting together an
educational event to help our community: prevent, detect and properly
respond to strokes.

 

The Event is on May 19, 2013, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM, at the Washington
Adventist Hospital.

 

For more information on the event, we are forwarding to you the
invitation letter, as well as the attached flyer. We encourage all our
senior community to attend this event and learn how to prevent stokes.

Every 40 seconds someone in the United States has a stroke?

May is Stroke Prevention month and WAH is partnering with the American
Heart Association to help educate our community on STROKE PREVENTION.
Also we want everyone to know the signs and symptoms of stroke and what
to do should they or someone they know or encounter is having a stroke.

This email comes as a friendly reminder of our upcoming event. Peggy
Elter, our Stroke Coordinator and Kathy Coleman are spear heading this
wonderful event.

Please forward this email and flyer and tell your family and friends. We
want EVERYONE to know!!!

Washington Adventist Hospital is a designated Primary Stroke Center by
the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS).
