Senate Foreign Relations Committee to Hold Second Hearing on the
Disability Treaty on Thursday, November 21st

The Disability Treaty, formally known as the Convention on the Rights of
Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), provides a vital framework for
creating legislation and policies around the world that embrace the
rights and dignity of all people with disabilities. The Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) was the model for the Disability Treaty. The
second hearing on the Disability Treaty has been scheduled for this
Thursday and we need you to attend to show your support!

DATE: Thursday, November 21, 2013

TIME: 9:30AM

LOCATION: Senate Dirksen Building Room G50

There was a great turnout for the first hearing, and we need your
continued support! We need as many people to attend the hearing as
possible! Forward this to your lists of friends and colleagues. We need
a packed room to show the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that the
community is behind this treaty!
