I  suggest persons who attend at least have a  working knowledge of
SharePoint. Discover 508 is an application that overlays SharePoint and
makes the information linear such as JAWS does to a  webpage.

 

CLB has also invited local Federal Section 508 Coordinators and managers to
attend this session as well as vetting this product may be part of their
job. Indeed, there is a  cost to agencies, etc who purchase this solution.

Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, Knowlogy, and Discover Technologies
invite you to a Lunch and Learn Info Session where we will be introducing a
new SharePoint Accessible Training Program that is designed to help prepare
individuals who live with a print disability for a career as a SharePoint
worker! There will be Demonstrations of the Discover 5O8 software which
increases SharePoint's usability for the blind and print disabled. There
will also be a course curriculum explanation and the Outcome Expectations
will be discussed. All successful training program graduates will receive a
SharePoint Collaboration Specialist Certificate. Find out how your agency
can benefit by sending current employees for training, or by hiring
graduates of this unique training program. The Lunch and Learn info session
will occur on Tuesday, September 23, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Please
join us at the Knowlogy Training Center located at 818 Connecticut Avenue
North West, 20006.
