Hi Debbie, 

You will remember that we talked about Janice and the struggles she faced
for her NBCC licensure exam. A bird tweeted to me today that Janice is now
preparing for state licensure exam. 

For all the members, I believe that this exam will be much better than last
one. We need to keep Janice in our prayers.

The meeting will be this Saturday, June 13, at the Long Branch Library, 8800
Garland Avenue.  Remember that because of the convention, we will be meeting
on the third Saturday in July.

 

Save the date:  Our scholarship dinner will be Saturday, October 3.  I am
looking for two members besides me to serve on a committee to plan the event
with members of the National harbor Chapter.  

 

Sad news:  Janice toothman is not doing well.  She is very weak because she
is unable to keep down food.

 

Better news:  My mother is recovering well.  I visited her this weekend and
thought I was at the Golden Corral except the food was better.  She still
uses a wheelchair sometimes but gets it around the kitchen, her favorite
place.  

 

For those going to the convention, don't forget to sign up for the world
record event on Wednesday, July 8.  We will begin lining up in the hotel
parking lot at 7 a.m.  If you have family or friends in the Orlando area,
they can participate also.  All you have to do is hold up an umbrella for 5
minutes.  And, you get to keep the umbrella.  

 

The Marylan caucus will be on Monday, July 6, at 9:00 in salon 12.  This is
not in the agenda, so remember it.
