 Don Scheuerman, Assistant Chief, Division of Building Design and Construction, Department of General Services, Montgomery County Government had worked with so many of you  years ago to walk the Silver Spring Transit Center temporary set up until the new one was built.  The new Silver Spring Transit Center is soon to launch and Don had promised to take the same group and interested others to tour the new transit center.  If that is any of you, please let me know and I will send out a notice when the new walk through of the new Silver Spring Transit Center will take place just for you.  Here is his note to me:



Hey Betsy…looks like we’ll get there in the not too distant future.



When you reach out or discuss this with anyone outside the County (including Commission members)…we don’t have a firm fixed date.  We are starting now to plan for the opening.



It wasn’t just my promise…it was made by DPWT and therefore the County.  Besides…if we can make it all work it is the right thing to do.
