Debbie and all,
There are ethics issues and HIPAA issues which we need to address. I will be willing to work on these matters.
I am also ready for the convention. This is a big anniversary and there are activities planned. Check them out on the nfb website.
See you on Saturday.

We will meet this Saturday, and at all meetings until November, at the Long Branch Library, 8800 Garland Avenue.
We will have a seminar for new members on Saturday, June 20, at the White oak Community Center.
We will have Jernigan Fund tickets at the meeting. The prize for this raffle is a free ticket to next year's convention, with hotel, registration, banquet ticket, and $1000. Tickets cost $10. Decide how many you want and bring your money.
Convention is coming. I will be putting in the list for the flight as soon as one person (not on this list) gets me all of their information. If you have any special requests, such as a wheelchair at the airport, please let me know. I will request bulkhead seats for guide dogs unless you tell me you don't want one. I am also letting them know that we are all blind so that they know we can't use the kiosks. This didn't used to be necessary, and it is one of the issue we will keep fighting.
Registration will be open till May 31. Yasmin and Barbara have already paid me for theirs. If you want me to register you, I will. Registration is $25 and the banquet ticket is $55. Information about transportation to and from the airport will probably be available next month.
Janice is having a hard time. She is supposed to going to a rehab center because the surgery has been more painful and has had more side effects than she was led to believe. I just got finished rereading Adrienne Asch's speech afrom the 2013 convention where she recommends talking to ethics committees at hospitals. It is something we have not done, and since we know of at least two people (I mean Janice and Pauline) in the past year who have had serious medical issues, it might be a good project.
I am obviously ready for convention, so I will be giving out lists of people to call to some of you for our seminar.
We have milk chocolate and dark chocolate candy left, but the peanut brittle is gone. Please let us know if you want any.
Thanks to Queen for bringing refreshments on Saturday.
A reminder that elections will be next month.
Debbie
