Good Morning Debbie ;

Could you please have Lloyd and Judy bring some NFB literature to the
meeting on Saturday? Our Church is having a Special Needs Mass on Sunday
November 15th,and will have some tables for groups to pass out information
to people with physical,emotional,or intellectual challenges.

You can call me when you have a chance,and we can talk about it more.

The chapter meeting will be this Saturday at the Long Branch library, 8800
Garland Avenue.  I will be out of town for the meeting.  I will be leaving
Fridayn and will be back on Sunday.

I have more raffle tickets to give out.  Judy, I am putting you in charge
of collecting raffle tickets and handing them out.  I have a fresh supply
which I will get to you.

We will have nuts, but not by the meeting.  We will order nuts this week
and have forms on Saturday.  Later in October we will have a driver deliver
nuts to those who make large orders.

We will be donating a holiday basket and gifts to a blind person and his
family.  You may donate money now or at the next meeting.  We will take
money from the treasury only if it is needed.

Thanks to all of you who helped us raise $4400 at our scholarship auction
last weekend.  We had lovely items and some new people.

Other events:

The DC convention is the weekend of October 17.  If you have not spent all
of your money, there will be an auction and talent show on Friday night.

On October 31 I will be presenting a workshop on Unified English Braille at
the Rockville library.  If you have missed previous ones, you should be at
this one at the Rockville Library on Saturday, October 31, from 10:30 to
1:00.

On October 24 there will be a program at the Library for the Blind and
Physicaly Handicapped in Baltimore.  There will be a bus, probably picking
up at Forest Glen and at Rockville.  Please let me know ifyou are
interested in going.  The program will be about spices, and I believe there
will be some opportunities to sample.

On November 7, the National harbor chapter will be hosting the Prince
Georges County Resource Fair.  If you live in Prince Georges County, this
is a good opportunity to learn about services.  It will be at Colmar Manor
Town Hall, 3701 Lawrence street, Colmar Manor, MD 20722.

The state conventionin Ocean City will be coming up in a little more than a
month.  On Friday afternoon there will be a membership seminar, two iPhone
workshops, a diabetes seminar, and many exhibits.  On Friday evening there
will be live music from MP Steel, and you should dress in your best beach
bum fashion.

I will be visiting some of our former members and will give Helen and
Elizabeth your greetings.
