I wish I was over there, I would have come along. In any case, I will still
be with you in spirit, Yasmin. I wish you all the best.

Fred.

Subject: [Md-sligo] Support Yasmin

Hello all,

At long last Yasmin's case against Montgomery County Government is going to
a jury trial. This problem has been going on for eight years. Yasmin has
successfully worked for the county government for many years. When the
county moved her department to new technology, they refused to consider
accessibility even though they knew she was working there and even though
there is an accessible version of the technology.

On February 10 at 9 am we need as many people as possible to be in the
courtroom to support our friend and colleague as she begins her first day of
testimony in the trial. The address is U.S. District Court, 6500 Cherrywood
Lane, #300, Greenbelt, MD 20770, Courtroom A. The court session will go to
about 4:00 or 4:30. It is crucial to have a big showing on this first day.
I am asking people to come from all over the state. I am sure that
representatives from our Sligo Creek and National Harbor chapters will take
turns and attend the whole trial starting on February 10. I will let you
know when there are other crucial days when larger crowds are needed.

Please come show your support for Yasmin. Let's make sure that Montgomery
County knows that blind people are not willing to accept discriminatory
treatment. By supporting Yasmin you will be supporting the protection of
the rights of all blind people.

Thank you,

Sharon Maneki, President

National Federation of the Blind of Maryland
