Hungry Harvest is a produce delivery service that appeared on Shark Tank last year. Their mission is to fight food waste & end systemic hunger in the US.
They source produce that farmers are unable to sell due to aesthetic imperfections or logistical inefficiencies. Then, they hand-pack it into variety boxes.
They deliver it to homes and offices for 20% cheaper than grocery store prices
They subsidize 2-3 lbs of produce to those in need in on for each delivery
All of this perfectly delicious produce would’ve gone to waste.
