Another event that happened at Shadygrove is that I finally learned how to use a fire extinguisher.  The fire department was there to teach the children about fire and smoke detecters.  I also signed up to have my smoke detecters checked.   This is something we should think about for state convention.  The sighted do not think about teaching blind people how to use fire extinguishers. Just because we are blind or low partial does not mean we can not detect by sound or smell, the whereabouts of a fire.
