[Md-sligo] Chapter meeting

The chapter meeting will be on Saturday, September 16, at the Long Branch
library, 8800 Garland Avenue, at 1:30. 

 

We will be getting ready for the state convention, which will be November
10-12. The chapter will be providing rooms,but the costs to attend are:
registration, $20; bus, $40; box lunch on Friday, $16; parent or senior
lunch on Saturday, $23;banquet, $40, for a total of $139. 

 

We will be selling raffle tickets again this year. Tickets cost $1 each or
six for $5. Please let me know how many you want. The drawing will be held
at the state convention, and the prizes are $300, $100, and $50. 

 

We will have several meet the blind month activities. We will have a bake
sale at the Greenbelt Giant on Saturday, October 7. We will be showing the
movie "Do You Dream in Color" on a weekday afternoon in October. We will be
in the World of Montgomery parade in Rockville on Sunday,October 15.
