I started out by indicating I was a Metro Access client. They transferred me
to a person to handle my request. I paid cash. It did not take long for the
cab to come.

What do you tell the cab company when booking your trip, so they do not
charge you normally.  Also, can this be combined with call and ride or do
you need cash or credit card.  I would think call and ride would be out.
Like mixing apples and oranges!
Thinking of trying it.
Was your wait  longer than a normal cab?

I agree the rollout was poor. However, I took two trips yesterday and one
today. Today, they were better organized. It beats a blank!

Someone who has connections at WMATA forwarded me an email with a link to
the website for the new Abilities Ride program. As mentioned at the meeting
on Saturday, there was not a lot of information provided by Metro about the
program, but this website has phone numbers and website links. I personally
think they should have sent out emails or a Metro alert, but it is what it
