Chapter meeting on Saturday

Debbi, Lloyd and I will be coming to the luncheon on Saturday, August 25.
We will be attending the leadership meeting on September 8.

Remember that there is a chapter meeting this Saturday, August 18, at the
Whiteoak Library, 11701 New Hampshire Avenue. We have several events coming up
in the next few months.

Saturday, August 25, 10:00-12:00: state board meeting conference call.
Everyone is welcome.  We will be making plans for our state convention.

Saturday, August 25: I would like to go out to a meal (sometime between
lunch and dinner) at Silver Diner with whoever wants to come. I would like
us to meet about 2:00. The address is 12276 Rockville Pike.  We don’t need
reservations, but I would like to get a good idea of how many people are
coming so we can set up tables. They have vegetarian and vegan food as well
as other kinds of food.

Saturday, September 8, all day: We will have Maryland Day at the NFB
National headquarters in Baltimore. We will tour the center and have
leadership sessions. I want to know how many people are coming so that we
can plan for transportation. If you have not been there, there is plenty to
learn, and If you have, you will find new things. The independence market
will open for you to do some shopping.

Saturday, September 15: Our chapter meeting will be the third Saturday next
month, at the Long Branch library.

Saturday, September 29:  Our Hands-On Use of Nonvisual Technology (HUNT)
seminar. Some of you will come to teach and some to learn, and  probably
some to do a little of both. We will discuss this in more detail.  If there
is  anything you want to learn about, come with ideas.

There are things coming up in October as well, but I will save them for
future messages—or come to the meeting to find out.
