Hi Shickeytha,
I really enjoyed my hockey experience. The volunteers were really good. I am
a huge hockey fan, so they let me climb in the penalty box and sit on the
players' bench. I got to feel a frozen puck, see the players' pads and
sticks and actually get on ice skates. I acted really silly and the
volunteers probably thought I was a little weird. They took the net down
though which I really wanted to feel. I had only been ice skating once in my
life and I did not skate alone. I was pretty chicken. You can start out by
holding onto the boards. A volunteer held my hand (she was skating
backwards). It was definitely worth doing.

I would be very interested in the ice skating lesson. Is anyone else in our
chapter planning to go to this?
