[Md-sligo] ability ride program

I know that the advisory committee that Queen is on has made complaints. If you have any problems that you can document, send her an email so that she can pass it along, or if you have any problems yourself, use the complaint process. If the lifts have to be used more often, they are getting more wear and tear, and someone may have been pennywise and pound foolish.

I kept my regular subscription trip with Metro Access. I have used the new feature for short trips, like return trips, home, from the dr. I would use call and ride to get from work to the dr. and the new metro access same day trip to get home from the dr. You never know when you will be done at a dr. appointment. I have also used it, if we are let out earley and I might use it, today, because of the possible ice.
My first call, with them, they booked it as a call and ride and when the driver came, he claimed he could not take me!
They had to send another driver. If a driver can do call and ride then why can't he do the Metro Access trip???
>From then on, I have emphisized make sure it is Metro access!
I have also used it to come to work, late, a few times. I could never do this, before! Either on time or take the full day off!
I like the service, but am sticking with my regular ride for getting to and from work. I have had trouble when Metro Access has sent cabs, before and the driver did not come in, and no one knew the cab was there for me!
To many cabs come to my large building for the guards to check every cab, for me!
Is there anything we can do to stop Metro Access from buying any more of the new vans???
They are very dangerious!!!
The steps are tretuous. The large seat is to high and can not be adjusted and the van is to low for tall people. I am about 5 feet and have to be careful, when getting on!
I have to use the lift to get off. I can make it on, but am fearful of falling, when getting off.

Hi Yasmin,
I have also found the service to be hit or miss in terms of reliability. For example, this morning, I had a trip where the dispatcher had given the driver the wrong destination address for me.
It just so happened that I mentioned to the driver the location I was going to and he realized that he had the wrong address. So he was able to call in and have them re-route the trip in the system. Otherwise, I would have been taken to the wrong place.
On the return trip, the driver did not arrive timely so I called and found that they had entered the wrong pickup address for me. They sent out another driver, but after 10 minutes no one was there yet, so I called again and they said they were still waiting for a driver near me to take the trip. So I cancelled and took a Uber, which was only $2 more than I would have paid for Abilities Ride.
