Move More Montgomery Festival

The Move More Montgomery Festival is the culminating event of the Move More Montgomery 100 Miler Challenge and is open to the general public. This field-day-type festival features a community walk, sport and fitness demos, active performances and mini-classes, interactive health and wellness booths and the Fido Fitness Arena (for our four-legged family members). Participants are encouraged to be active by completing vendor activities such as health screenings, fitness games and activities, and many others to earn tickets to be entered in the Move More Montgomery Festival Raffle. This event is FREE to attend. All ages are welcome.

Leggett to Dedicate Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at Memorial Plaza

County Executive Ike Leggett, local officials and Vietnam War veterans will dedicate the Montgomery County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.  The memorial will include the names of 130 service members from Montgomery County who were killed or reported missing in action during the Vietnam War.  Montgomery County is inviting family members and friends of these fallen heroes to participate in the May 21st dedication ceremony.  A plaque honoring all Montgomery County residents who served our country during the Vietnam War era, 1955 - 1975, will be unveiled at the ceremony and those who served will be recognized.
