the gentleman is either redesigning or renovating the building that the Columbia Lighthouse is in. he is using products to improve the acoustics of the hallways and offices.

                        Chris Downey will provide the keynote address at the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind 2nd annual “Lighting the Way” Gala which will be held on October 29, 2019 at the French Embassy. We will also honor him with the Lamplighter Award. CLB presents this annual award to an individual who has achieved a high level of professional success, in turn inspiring others who have experienced vision loss to commit to the same work ethic and to discover their newfound ability.

                        Chris Downey is an architect with over 30 years of practice - continuing without sight since 2008. He specializes in universal design for projects specifically for the blind and visually impaired including blind rehabilitation centers, eye clinics and schools for the blind.
