Please share this message with friends. It is an unknown fact about
covid19!

I want to share with you all my family's experience with Covid19. You have
heard only part of the story. Today, there was a huge update that you need
to know about. You have my permission to share this with others as long as
there are no other attached posts. If you need a clean copy, ask me.

My little brother was emotionally having a hard time dealing with the fact
that we did not get to celebrate my dad's birthday or Father's Day. My dad
and his wife are elderly and have other high risk categories. So, one day my
brother and his wife stopped by for a little visit.

My dad and his wife got sick with Covid19 shortly after that visit. My
little brother and his wife became infected as well. My brother and his wife
are taking precautions on top of precautions. But, that one visit is the
only person they know who has been ill. My dad had a very mild case little
more than a cold he claims. His wife was hospitalized for a week and is
still on oxygen because she had a prior breathing issue.

It turns out she and my dad have been eating in restaurants, going to
church, going shopping to get out of the house, and going any and everywhere
it seems. He has admitted these things to me.

My little brother ended up in the Emergency Room after being diagnosed due
to inability to breath. Turns out, he has double pneumonia. He has truly
struggled and fought to get better. He even said to me that he took the
attitude of I'll somehow get this inhaler into my lungs if it kills me in
the process because I have no other choice. He was doing pretty well and
even forced himself to work.

Today, he learned there is another chapter. He knew he was not seeing as
well and assumed it was a side effect of some of his medication. He went to
his eye doctor for glaucoma. They took his pressure in his eye and it was
70. Normal is more like 10 or something. He was told this was from Covid19.
In the office, they inserted a needle into his eye to relieve the pressure.
He had to go back to the doctor later this afternoon to make sure that had
relieved the pressure. He returns Saturday and Sunday for pressure checks to
insure that the level has not gone up. This is very serious because it takes
as little as hours up to weeks with pressure that high to completely lose
the eye.

He has put me on standby for him and his wife all weekend fully expecting
that one or both of them will need to talk day or night.

He has emergency surgery Monday. His doctor told him that his options are
limited and all they can do is do the best they can do. Thirty years ago, a
heroic surgery was done using cadaver tissue to fix the problem. That
procedure has completely failed as a result of Covid19. Prior, he had no
damage to his vision. That procedure they have found cannot be done again.
So, the next best option is a long intense surgery with more stitches, and
much recovery. After the procedure, he may have double vision or other
vision issues. The goal is to simply save the eye at this point.

So, when you encounter those who don't believe Covid19 is real and those who
don't wear a mask and do the things we have been told like, distancing,
wearing masks, staying out of crowds, washing our hands, let them read this
and tell them it is real. Also, if you notice any eye issues, please don't
delay. Contact your doctor at once to have it checked because it is very
possible to have Covid19 and be symptom free. Those people who don't care
have never had this illness affect someone they love. It all changes then.
And, when someone wants you to take a risk, remember Thad's story. All it
took was for a kid to want to see his parent and for that parent to be
stupid to potentially cause my brother to lose an eye.

He is still fighting the pneumonia too.

This is from a friend, in one of my craft groups.
