[MD-Sligo] Chapter meeting

Hi Debbie,

 

I have begun training with my new guide dog, so I will not likely be able to
go to Capitol Hill on Tuesday unless it is with Steny Hoyer and the training
thinks we can plan the trip into DC as part of training.  

 

Let me know when there are any letters/hearings.  If all goes well, I should
finish training by February 19.

The chapter meeting this Saturday will be at the White Oak library, 11701
New Hampshire Avenue.  People from the Board of Elections will be there to
show the voting machine to those who have not used it and to register or
change addresses for those who need to do that.  

 

I had hoped to have our Tuesday schedule for Capitol Hill, but we have a few
appointments still not scheduled.  We have two appointments scheduled.  They
are as folloed:

 

3:45 with Congressman Brown's staff, 1629 Longworth Building.

4:15 with Congressman Raskin, 412 Cannon building.

 

Please let me know if you can attend any of the appointments.

 

We still have nuts left over.  If you want any, let me know, or if you want
a large order, let Judy know by Friday evening because she will be busy
Saturday morning.  The kinds we have left are:

Jeppi #82 mix $3.00

Nut and Fruit Mix $3.50

Maryland Mix $4.00

Almonds $5.00

Pistachios $6.00

 

Whether or not you go to Capitol Hill, you should try to attend the
Washington Seminar great gathering-in meeting on Monday, February 10, from
5:00 to 7:00 in the Holiday Inn Capitol, 550 C Street S.W.  There are
activities all day Monday, such as a tour of the national Center if you are
willing to leave early in the morning, and a job fair.
