Hello all,

Please spread the word about this important new program and sign up if you
meet the criteria.

The Maryland Office on Aging has a free program for seniors 65 or older. You
can sign up to receive a phone call each day to check on you. You select the
time either between 8am and 10am or 2pm and 4pm. If you do no answer, the
system will call the person that you have identified to come and help you.

For an application and further information, go to
https://aging.maryland.gov/Pages/senior-call-check.aspx or call
1-866-502-0560.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
