Below is a list of the newest outdoor eating areas. There are also outdoor
eating areas in downtown Silver Spring and Bethesda.

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, July 15, 2020
Montgomery County residents seeking to support local restaurants by getting
meals out, but wanting to eat in unique outdoor settings, can take advantage
of four free "Popup Picnic Parks" that have been established in the Pike
District of North Bethesda. The picnic areas provide additional outdoor
seating as restaurants are operating under the County's Phase 2 reopening
guidelines.
The Pike District popup parks initiative was established with the joint
effort of Montgomery County Parks and Recreation and the North Bethesda
Marriott and Conference Center.
The Pike District's four temporary picnic parks locations are:
*	The Hill: Corner of Rockville Pike and Old Georgetown Road.
*	Market Street Park: Corner of Market Street and Executive Boulevard
(next to the Conference Center parking garage).
*	The Patio: Corner of Rockville Pike and Marinelli Road, near the
west side entrance to the White Flint Metro Station.
*	Wall Park: Corner of Executive Boulevard and Nicholson Lane.
Some street parking is available near certain park areas. Public parking
garages also are nearby.
The largest of the picnic parks, at Market Street, has 14 picnic tables and
additional marked seating areas for a bring-your-own seated picnic. Areas
are all positioned to be eight feet in diameter and six feet apart. A hand
sanitizing station and cleaning supplies are available to provide additional
safety measures.
The three other parks also offer responsibly distanced picnic tables and
additional space. Park users can bring their own tables, chairs and blankets
if they wish.
The popup picnic areas are expected to remain available through the fall.
The number of persons in any one group may not exceed the Montgomery County
COVID-19 Phase 2 regulations that now limit groups to 50 or fewer. Phase 2
guidelines also require masks to be worn at all times-even outdoors-except
when eating and drinking.
More information about the Pike District and the popup picnic parks
initiative is available at www.PikeDistrict.org.
