We will be meeting on Saturday, October 10. Our meeting actually starts at
1:45, but you may get on early and socialize before the meeting.
Convention registration closes on October 16, so you should register soon.
If you have not paid 2020 dues, you are too late to vote in the NFB of
Maryland convention. You should register, however, because you are still
eligible to win a door prize. Registration is $20 and may be paid by check
or by Paypal. Checks should be made out to the NFB of Maryland and mailed
to 1800 Johnson Street, Suite N1, Baltimore, MD 21230.
In order to vote at the NFB of Maryland convention, you must enroll at
nfbvote.org. You will be asked for your name, state, and the phone number
from which you will be voting. Type the phone number with digits only and
no punctuation. If you have access to only one phone and if you will be
listening to the convention on it, you will have to get out of the
convention to vote.
Please pay for your raffle tickets. Again, you may pay by Paypal or send a
check to the NFB of Maryland address.
We will be welcoming June Chambers and Joe Aukward as members of the Sligo
Creek Chapter on Saturday.

Pronouns: she, her, hers
The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
