[MD-Sligo] FW: URGENT Budget Information

Queen has sent me this message about registering for the WMATA hearing. It says “register here” but there is no link. I am including her message in its entirety, and if anyone can find some of the missing information, let us know about it. There is a number to call in testimony, and the online survey is accessible. I assume you can submit an audio file that you record by some other method, such as a Victor Reader Stream.

WMATA does not plan to cut any MetroAccess service. As far as I can tell, WMATA is not cutting service as drastically as Maryland MTA had originally planned, and they are to be commended for trying to at least keep full service. Those of you who use Abilities Ride, however, should use this opportunity to make your comments, because I fear that people are going to try to make under-the-table cuts that will hurt services for people with disabilities.

Debbie

If you want to speak at the Board hearing Tuesday, you must sign up by Thursday so they can give you time slot before 4PM. That way you can still attend Bus Rail.

If you miss the Thursday dead line, I am told it will be a short hearing so you can still sign up through Monday and just miss part of Bus Rail. You can also pre-record your message and submit it and they will play it at the meeting.

Please remember to take the survey as well as speaking.
