[MD-Sligo] Discussion tomorrow afternoon and other announcements

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 31, at 1:30 we will be listening to and discussing the sppeech by our former president Kenneth Jernigan, “Blindness: Handicap or Characteristic.”  This is the foundation for the idea in our one-minute message, “The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines us or our future.”

Other announcements:

Our picnic wil be on Saturday, August 14, at 2:00.  It will be at Trinity Reformed Church, 9630 Annapolis Road, Lanham.  If you are not much of a cook, and you do not have a deli or bakery nearby to fool us with, we will need drinks—soda, water, or iced tea.  Let me know what you are bringing.  At the picnic, we will be wearing masks when not eating.

My personal email is not working as of right now, so if you have sent me messages, I have not seen them since Wednesday.

We are planning basket bingo on Friday, September 10.  Tickets are $20.
