Greetings DCCPS,

I hope everyone is during well and staying safe and sound.

It is with great sadness and disappointment, to please let everyone know, that due to COVID,  we will not be able to have an in person NCI United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive this year -  2021, due to NIH/NCI building restrictions.  ☹!  We must all follow the safety guidelines for COVID. New COVID Restrictions and changes are being put in place daily.

I really hope, we will be able to have an in-person 2022 NCI United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive.

This year 2021, has really been another very devastating, challenging and stressful year, in many ways for the entire world, all due to COVID.

DCCPS (NCI) has had many very successful, NCI United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive for the past 18 years.  I thank everyone again, so very much for all of their kindness and generosity over the years for the children in need.  You have really made so many children’s wishes and dreams come true.

The children really need our help even more this year due to the COVID Pandemic.  Oh my goodness, so many parents, family members and friends have lost their loves ones, their jobs and so much more devastation due to COVID. 

There will not be an in person NCI United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive this year, but we can still please help to make the children wishes and dreams come true this holiday season.

Over the past several months, I have been in consistent contact with the Montgomery County Toys for Tots LCO Coordinator,  Mr. Paul Gunther, Retired Marine. I have worked with Mr. Gunther for many years and he has attended our wonderful DCCPS Holiday Parties numerous times over the years.

Mr. Paul Gunther has been the Montgomery County Toys for Tots LCO Coordinator, that I have worked with for the past 18 years for all of our United States Marines Toys For Tots – NCI Toy Drives.

Mr. Paul Gunther just some some very great and exciting news!! 

Mr. Paul Gunther is planning a:

“Drive Up And Drop Off, United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lake Forest Mall.  The Lake Forest Mall is located 701 Russell Avenue, Gaithersburg Maryland, 20877.

There will be a Toys For Tots Tent and a Toys For Tots Truck located near the now closed Ruby Tuesday’s and the Sear Store.

This will be a rain or shine event.  Praying for good weather! 

You can please pull up in your car and pass your new toy(s) through your window or pop your trunk and someone from Mr. Paul Gunther Toys For Tots Team will received your toy(s). 

If you are unable to attend the Drive Up And Drop Off, United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive, you can also please make donations directly to the United States Marines Toys For Tots Drive and it is an excellent opportunity to remember and serve children in our community who may have a parent dealing with COVID, who may have recently lost a job, or a parent who is a member of the Armed Forces and is serving overseas. There are also certain families who cannot consider the added cost of gifts for the children, due to costs incurred by caring for a child or family member who is facing significant illness or other hardships. 

Your donation will greatly encourage a child (and family) and give hope to a child this holiday season, and beyond.  Please give a child hope and a smile during this very difficult time of the COVID Pandemic.
