Hi all,
Congratulations, Ben. I will always associate the name Astrid with cake
baking. My friend, Astrid, was a wonderful cake baker.   If you asked her
to bake  one cake, she would bake six. She was from Armenia. I am sure
Matilda will be a big help.

I don't know why she is named Astrid, but Astrid Lindgren is the author of
Pippi Longstocking, one of my favorite children's books.  She is also 290
years younger than George Washington.  Good start in life!

My wife and I are happy to announce the birth of our fourth child and
second daughter, Astrid Ursa Danforth. She was born on February 22 and
weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces and was 21.5 inches long at birth. Astrid and
her mom are at home now and doing well. Astrid is getting to know her
family, including her siblings Matilda, Ezra, and Linus.

Sorry for the delayed announcement, but things have been a bit hectic as
you can imagine.
