[MD-Sligo] Chapter meeting next week

I have about 4 bags of walnuts.  The cashews are disappearing fast; I sold some at church yesterday.  There is a Super Bowl coming up; folks need their nuts.

Actually, there are no walnuts left. I sold the last one yesterday and one broke in the box so I will pay for it. Debbie has all of the cashews we have left, which I think are ??about 10. We have nearly a whole box of Baltimore bar mix. The rest are all less than 12. See you Saturday. ??

?????????????? The chapter meeting will be next Saturday, 1:30, at the Chevy Chase Library, 4805 Connecticut Avenue. This is a new location for us.??

I want to thank everyone who has participated in activities during this very busy past month.?? A few of our chapter members were at Annapolis meetings almost every day for two weeks. When a call went out for people to participate in meetings?? onFriday, Sligo made a great showing.

Thanks to all those who made the Louis Braille party a success.

Last week Joyce Martin, Renee Donalvo Carlsen, Janice Samuel and Jeff Baer went to Capitol Hill to meet representatives fromCongress. Jeff is brand new to the chapter,and he has hit the ground running.

This is a new dues year.?? Please pay your dues.?? An in-person meeting is a good time to do that if you don???t trust the mail and don???t like Paypal.?? Dues are $5 a year or $100 if you want to be a lifetime member.

Please let me know if you want raffle tickets for our spring raffle. Tickets cost $5.?? Drawing will be throughout the month of May. If your number is drawn on Saturday, you win $100; Sunday through Friday, $50.?? If you will not be at the meeting on Saturday, I will hold your raffle tickets and email the numbers to you. You may mail money directly to the NFB of Maryland, 1800 Johnson Street, Suite N1, Baltimore, MD 21230, or give it to me and I will take care of it.??

If you have nut money, please bring it onSaturday. We still have many nuts left. Queen has offered to buy the leftovers. I know Queen well enough to know that she will come with check in hand, so please order What you want. If you have not paid for previous orders, you may not have any more.
