Debra Erickson is the Executive Chef and Founder of The Blind Kitchen where adaptive culinary tools and cooking strategies are provided to people with vision loss who want to cook safely confidently and independently in their own kitchens. She has significant vision loss due to Retinitis Pigmentosa and was the only blind student in Culinary School. When she is not working in The Blind Kitchen, she teaches Cooking at the Oregon Commission for the Blind to adults with vision loss. Due to timing conflicts from Debra’s teaching schedule, her presentation will be recorded but she should be available live for questions and answers after the recorded presentation.
