Ten years ago today, I founded Be My Eyes with a simple idea: connecting blind and low-vision individuals like myself with sighted volunteers through the camera of a phone.

I’m proud that our service remains free for blind users and that some of the world’s most recognizable businesses are joining us in embracing accessibility.

Be My Eyes is truly global. No matter where you are in the world, as long as you have internet access, you can use our service.

Today, our community has grown to over 8 million volunteers worldwide and more than 750,000 blind and low vision users. And we’re still growing!

Our app facilitates 50 million user requests a year through volunteer calls and real-time AI visual descriptions. And we now have some of the world’s best known brands as our customers.

Most importantly, with your help, we’re making the world more accessible every single day.

To everyone who has made this dream a reality, thank you. 💙
