Hi Everyone,
For those who were at the convention and missed the exhibit hall, visit and fill out the survey. Others also visit the survey and fill out the survey. We need programs like this to help students and others to know this is available.

Subject: Re: visit at NFBMD convention
Dear Yasmin,
Thank you for reaching out and visiting my table at the NFBMD convention.
The UMD Engineering for Visually Impaired Students (E4VIS) project is funded by the Do Good Institute at UMD and runs from July 2025 through June 2026.
The E4VIS project focuses on developing 3D-printed educational materials for blind and visually impaired (BVI) students in grades K–12. I am collaborating closely with the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Vision Program and, more recently, with the vision programs of Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) and the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS), as well as the Maryland School for the Blind (MSB). Since July 2025, we have developed several unique prototypes, including a 3D-printed Braille Swing Cell; a 3D-printed Braille Basic Alphabet and UEB Number Kit; a 3D-printed Braille Basic Nemeth Math Kit; a 3D-printed Braille Organic Chemistry Model Set; and additional materials currently under development.
These prototypes are now being used by BVI students and teachers in MCPS, and the feedback has been very positive. The materials were delivered to the PGCPS, HCPSS, and the MSB for classroom use and feedback. Building on these experiences, I aim to expand the field study, further evaluate how these 3D-printed materials can best support students who are blind or visually impaired (BVI), and identify funding opportunities to scale the project statewide across all 24 Maryland counties and eventually nationwide.
Please use the following link for the quick survey (the Google Form link):

Additionally, if possible, could you please share the survey link with those who visited my table but have not yet completed the survey?
Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
Thank you!

I was at the NFBMD convention last Friday. I touched the tactile images of different things. I would like to know more about your project. Also would like to fill out the survey.
Thanks for all you do.
