Dear BlindShell Friends,

How are you surviving this summer's heat wave?

Here in Prague, we're incredibly grateful for the air conditioning in our new office. Last weekend the temperature climbed to almost 40°C (104°F), and honestly... stepping outside felt a bit like opening the oven door.

Our current survival strategy consists of staying indoors whenever possible, eating way too much ice cream, and drinking liters of water. Do you have any better tips for keeping cool? We'd love to hear them!

Now, let's see what's new in the world of BlindShell.

News, Updates, Apps

Our developers have been busy again, and June brings several improvements that should make everyday use of your BlindShell even smoother.

Messenger & Communication

Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp have both received updates to ensure everything continues working smoothly.

Be My Eyes has also been updated to a new version of the application.

And probably the update many of you have been waiting for...

Drumroll, please...

The Email Client has received one of its biggest updates yet!

You can now:
1) Forward original emails while keeping attachments intact.
2) Move emails between folders.
3) Choose custom folders for Drafts and Trash directly in the settings.

With the summer travel season in full swing, these new features can be especially useful. Whether you're forwarding flight tickets, train reservations, hotel confirmations, or travel itineraries to family and friends.

Entertainment

Good news for YouTube fans!
The "Only Sound" mode is working correctly again, so you can once again enjoy your favorite podcasts, interviews, concerts, or videos without playing the picture.

The Music Player has also received several improvements. You can now browse your music by folders, making it much easier to find albums or playlists stored on your SD card. Playback stability has also been improved for an even smoother listening experience.

Small Improvements That Make a Big Difference

Sometimes the smallest updates are the ones you notice every day.

This month we've also:
1) Fixed several translation typos in the Memory Game.
2) Resolved an issue where search fields were skipped on certain pages in the Internet Browser.
3) Improved Local Weather so smaller towns are now displayed with the correct location names.

Every update, big or small, helps make BlindShell a little easier and more enjoyable to use.

Did you know...? Tips and Tricks

As you already read above, you can now move emails between folders directly in the Email Client.

Don't worry, it's really easy!

Here's how:
1) Open the email you want to move
2) Press the Confirm button
3) Choose Move
4) Choose the folder where you want to move the email
5) And that is it!

For example, if your email provider supports custom folders, you can keep travel reservations, receipts, or important documents neatly organized and access them more quickly when you need them.

And speaking of travel...

If your summer plans include Portugal, don't only stop at a cafe for the famous Pastéis de Nata. Try to find Torta de Azeitão, a delicious traditional cake with an interesting story. It was created by Manuel Rodrigues, a Portuguese baker who was blind himself.

The dessert is famous for its incredibly soft sponge made from eggs, sugar, and a touch of corn flour, wrapped around a rich, creamy egg custard filling. It practically melts in your mouth.
