Nope. We sort all books at the NFB first now, and either ship them, or bring them on our own trucks to TX. We have done this for a while now. This allows us to know what we have to work with, sort books by categories, and try to have a balance of books, so we don’t end up with tons of adult books one year and very few kids books, and then, another year, having mostly kids books. This also allows us to label boxes by category, so when we are setting up the book fair people can just read the label on the box and place the books in the correct area. It used to be that volunteers had to decide where a book went on the fly. And, finally, if we’re sent books that are super old, are missing volumes, etc. We can dispose of them before they even get to TX.
