<P>Discover this powerful work incentive that provides Medical Assistance for
Marylanders with disabilities who work for pay and meet a few other conditions.
Medical Assistance provides excellent coverage if you are uninsured, can
supplement other insurance, and saves up to thousands of dollars a year for
people who receive Medicare. </P>
<P>EID has the highest income limit of any Medical Assistance program in
Maryland, and a much higher resource (asset) limit than most other programs.
This helps people keep Medical Assistance even with substantial earnings or
savings. </P>
<P>Learn how people getting Medicaid Waiver services can use EID to keep Waiver
services when their incomes or assets increase. </P></FONT></FONT><B>
<P>What is EID? </P></B><FONT face=Arial,Arial><FONT face=Arial,Arial>
<P>Maryland’s EID Program lets people with disabilities work and qualify for (or
keep) Medical Assistance. Medical Assistance can: </P>
<P>Provide excellent health coverage for people with no other insurance </P>
<P>Supplement other insurance – covering services that other insurance does not
</P>
<P>Save Medicare recipients $1,000 - $12,000 a year on medical costs </P>
<P>EID gives people with disabilities an incentive to work, by ensuring health
coverage even when earnings are substantial. </P>
<P>The monthly premiums for EID range from $0 - $55 – much lower than for
private insurance. </P></FONT></FONT><B>
