<DIV>I am a researcher at Westat, a firm in Rockville, Maryland. We are
currently working</DIV>
<DIV>with Lighthouse International on a contract from the United States Bureau
of Engraving</DIV>
<DIV>and Printing. We are testing prototypes of American paper money that
has tactile</DIV>
<DIV>cues so that blind people can distinguish the value of the bills.</DIV>
<DIV>We are seeking participants for this project.</DIV>
<DIV>Participation takes ninety minutes. During the ninety minutes, we ask
the participants</DIV>
<DIV>to feel the tactile cues on the bills and tell us what they feel.</DIV>
<DIV>We are giving participants fifty dollars as a thank you. We will also
reimburse</DIV>
<DIV>participants for travel to and from Rockville.</DIV>
<DIV>Participants must be blind to the extent that they cannot distinguish the
value of</DIV>
<DIV>existing American paper money by looking at it.</DIV>
<DIV>We are running the participants from November 28 to December 5.</DIV>
