the new 7000 series railcars have two different types of between-car barriers;
(1) the traditional rope barrier found on all other Metro railcars, and (2) a
new rubber between-car barrier located on the ends of the cab cars.

to this design, which was adopted in 2008, Metro has engaged in study and
analysis of the effect the new between-car barrier, and having a different type
of between-car barrier would have on customers who are blind or low vision.
Metro found the new between-car barriers to be safe and effective for all
customers including those who are blind or low vision.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
