For the second straight week we had nearly 20 blind athletes and guides in attendance. So come back, or come check it out for the first time, this Sunday at 9 AM. We meet at the south entrance of the DuPont Circle metro station, right in front of Panera, and folks meet back up at Panera after the workout to socialize. All paces and distances are welcome, whether you’re training for a race or just want to get in shape and meet new people. These workouts will happen every Sunday at the same time and place, so I won’t keep announcing them in every newsletter, but we’d appreciate it if you could RSVP in advance whenever you plan to attend so we make sure we have enough guides for everyone. You can either RSVP by emailing me at karla.gilbride@gmail.com, or by RSVP-ing to the event on the Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/AchillesInternationalDC/. If you prefer the mobile version of Facebook, that address is https://m.facebook.com/AchillesInternationalDC/.

Speakking of running, one of our members, Shickeytha Chandler, wanted to let folks know that she purchased a Flip Belt running belt with a zipper for storing keys and phone while running, but discovered that it didn’t fit her. It’s a size medium and she’s willing to sell it for $25. If anyone is interested in buying it, email her at shickeytha@gmail.com.

Also, there’s been a change in our schedule for summer goalball. We moved up our next practice to Saturday, August 11, so we hope many of you can join us then.

That’s all for this edition of the newsletter.
