<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 13, 2019—Craig Rice, chair of the Montgomery County Council’s Education and Culture Committee; Dr. Jack Smith, superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS);
and Dr. DeRionne Pollard, president of Montgomery College, will host the first in a series of five public education budget forums at Neelsville Middle School (11700 Neelsville Church Road in Germantown) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">This is the fifth year that these county education leaders are hosting a countywide tour to talk about the education budget process and the priorities for Montgomery County residents. These
annual forums present residents an opportunity to learn about and provide input regarding our county’s public-school system and our community college.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">“These forums will provide an opportunity for residents to have their questions answered about the education budgets at both the State and County level from kindergarten to higher education,”
said Councilmember Rice. “We will discuss opportunities all residents have to help influence and shape budget decisions that will be made as the Council works to adopt the FY20 budget.”</span><o:p></o:p></p>
