<h1 style="text-align: center;">Montgomery County Fair Housing Series Continues on Tuesday, Dec. 15, with ‘Challenges and Opportunities Toward Narrowing the Racial Divide in Housing . . . Continued’</h1>
<p>The Montgomery County Office of Human Rights will continue its series examining fair housing in the County with a free, virtual forum from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, that will focus on “Challenges and Opportunities Toward Narrowing the Racial Divide in Housing . . . Continued.”</p>
<p>The Fair Housing Educational Summit will have three major discussions, each featuring prominent leaders in fair housing and equity.</p>
<p>The discussions will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>The Impact of Algorithms in Systemic Housing Discrimination. 8:45-10:30 a.m. Key speaker will be Lisa Rice, president and CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance.</li>
<li>Housing Discrimination and The Division of America. 10:45 a.m.-noon. Key speaker will be Gene Slater, senior advisor on housing for Federal, State and local agencies.</li>
<li>Diversity and Inclusion Champions Program. 12:15-1:15 p.m. Key speakers will be Maurice McKinney II, chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors and Ileann Jimenez, vice chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors.</li>

<p>This week’s sessions are a continuation of the Office of Human Rights <s>had its</s> initial housing summit in April 2021 and there are plans to hold additional forums in the future to ensure that fair housing is a continuing topic.</p>
