Some of these are gradually rolling out, while others are available to everyone. The former is the case for first-letter navigation in Windows 11 taskbar, and the latter are mostly bug fixes.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>For features gradually rolling out, these are initially tested by Windows Insiders before making their way to everyone as part of optional cumulative updates. Features included in optional updates will then be packaged as part of the following month’s regular cumulative update (second Tuesday of the month). The mechanism behind feature rollout requires a backstage tour, but suffice to say that it involves some internal flags set by Windows developers. For a slightly geeky overview, including an example of features rolling out gradually, see the July optional update link from Jason’s post.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>To use features gradually rolling out without opting into Windows Insider Program, go to Settings (Windows+)/Windows Update, then check “Get the latest updates as soon as they're available”. Even this toggle is checked, you won’t get new features right away – Microsoft throttles feature availability to make sure things are going well.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Cheers,<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Joseph<o:p></o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal>David Goldfield,<span style='font-size:11.0pt;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal>Blindness Assistive Technology Specialist<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="http://www.davidgoldfield.com/"><span style='color:#0563C1'>www.DavidGoldfield.com</span></a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Director of Marketing,<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Blazie Technologies<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="http://www.blazietech.com/"><span style='color:#0563C1'>www.BlazieTech.com</span></a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>If you need help using your assistive technology, learn about my training services by visiting<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="http://www.screenreadertraining.com/"><span style='color:#0563C1'>WWW.ScreenReaderTraining.com</span></a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Am Yisrael Chai<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Nation of Israel Lives!<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="https://www.freedomscientific.com/Training/Certification"><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:windowtext;mso-ligatures:none;text-decoration:none'><img border=0 width=86 height=86 style='width:.9in;height:.9in' id="_x0000_i1027" src="cid:image001.png@01DADF74.20CC47F0" alt="JAWS Certified, 2022"></span></a><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="https://certification.nvaccess.org/"><span style='color:#0563C1'>NVDA Certified Expert</span></a><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Subscribe to the Tech-VI announcement list to receive news, events and information regarding the blindness assistive technology field.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Email: <a href="mailto:tech-vi+subscribe@groups.io"><span style='color:#0563C1'>tech-vi+subscribe@groups.io</span></a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:white;mso-ligatures:none'>_._,_._,_<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div class=MsoNormal align=center style='text-align:center'><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;mso-ligatures:none'><hr size=2 width="100%" align=center></span></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;mso-ligatures:none'>Groups.io Links:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p>You receive all messages sent to this group. <o:p></o:p></p><p><a href="https://groups.io/g/tech-vi/message/7438" target="_blank">View/Reply Online (#7438)</a> | <a href="mailto:tech-vi@groups.io?subject=Re:%20%5BTech-VI%5D%20For%20Windows%2011%20Users%3A%20Informative%20Post%20From%20Joseph%20Lee%3A%20Notice%3A%20when%20you%20come%20across%20a%20feature%20that%20shows%20as%20available%20but%20isn%27t%20%23ADVISORY" target="_blank">Reply To Group</a> | <a href="mailto:david.goldfield@outlook.com?subject=Private:%20Re:%20%5BTech-VI%5D%20For%20Windows%2011%20Users%3A%20Informative%20Post%20From%20Joseph%20Lee%3A%20Notice%3A%20when%20you%20come%20across%20a%20feature%20that%20shows%20as%20available%20but%20isn%27t%20%23ADVISORY" target="_blank">Reply To Sender</a> | <a href="https://groups.io/mt/107567803/17455" target="_blank">Mute This Topic</a> <br><a href="https://groups.io/g/tech-vi/mutehashtag/advisory">Mute #advisory</a> <br><a href="https://groups.io/g/tech-vi/editsub/17455">Your Subscription</a> | <a href="mailto:tech-vi+owner@groups.io">Contact Group Owner</a> | <a href="https://groups.io/g/tech-vi/leave/8954496/17455/1106850279/xyzzy">Unsubscribe</a> [terrypowers59@gmail.com]<o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:white;mso-ligatures:none'>_._,_._,_<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div></body></html>
