For us, braille has always been integral; it’s the language through which we access information independently, whether reading a recipe or a tax form.

Mission: help people “get braille”

Growing up, Mark and I faced countless situations where braille materials were simply not available – textbooks, menus, handouts, you name it. We wanted to address this gap with GetBraille by making braille, large print, and other accessible formats as widespread and easy to access as regular print.

When we started, our mission was simple: to provide BVI individuals with the resources we wished we’d had, while helping businesses make their materials universally accessible.

Today, GetBraille.com offers an array of services tailored to the diverse needs of the BVI community. We provide inclusive marketing solutions such as braille and large-print materials, audio descriptions, and tactile graphics, designed not just for individuals, but also for companies aiming to improve their accessibility.

Our products range from brandable signature guides alphabet cards and more, to braille business cards and restaurant menus, to immersive audio descriptions and even custom tactile maps. This kind of inclusive approach is essential, because accessibility is not a one-size-fits-all solution – it’s multi-faceted.

Accessible menus are something we’re particularly proud of. Created with universal design in mind, these combination large print/braille menus ensure independence in social settings, like dining out, and the large-print makes readability easier for seniors or anyone who may have forgot their glasses that day.

We also specialize in “braille overlays,” adhesive-backed braille stickers that can be applied to existing printed materials (such as business cards,) allowing clients to make an immediate and cost-effective upgrade to their accessibility.

Accessibility is our passion

Our passion for this work runs deep. When I’m not working on GetBraille, I’m involved in voice acting and audio description to make media accessible to those who are blind or visually impaired. This is another example of why accessibility matters: it allows everyone to enjoy and engage with the world fully. GetBraille offers audio description services for your own personal media content or corporate videos.

GetBraille is more than a business for Mark and I – it’s a mission. We’re committed to helping people and companies realize that accessibility is not just about compliance; it’s about creating a world where everyone has the right to independence, knowledge, and connection. We are honored to help build a future where accessibility is the norm, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.

About GetBraille

GetBraille is a one-stop shop for materials in braille, large print, and audio alternative formats.

The company’s mission is to bring accessible materials to individuals with visual impairments or other print disabilities for school, work, home, and leisure activities.
